Leger Acadian Memorial Tribute


Angelique Pinel (Pinet) veuve Michel Leger, 1785, Opelousas.  Once a refugee in France
and in St. Pierre and Miquelon, she arrived in Louisiana aboard "Le Bon Papa" with
two of her surviving children.

On June 16th, Mr. Eddie Richard, Acadian Memorial Board Member, accepted a framed certificate acknowledging the sponsorship of Angelique on the Acadian Mural in St. Martinville, for the Richelieu Leger Family Association.
